Chacos are a brand of sandals that the majority of Peace Corps volunteers wear partly because they get a pro discount and partly because the guarantee them for life. At least this was the story Kristin and Jason told me. Kirsten Mielke and Jason Hervin show off their Chaco sandals above.They were married the last weekend in June at The Cove in Normandy Park on a very beautiful day. They originally met when they were both in the Peace Corps serving in Africa and they decided they would wear their Chacos at their wedding. They are very devoted to each other and very much in love. As a retuned Peace Corps volunteer myself, I was honored to be a part of their wedding as was my daughter Claire who they were nice enough to ask to be their flower girl. She was thrilled.
