Captain Whidbey Inn Wedding

The historic Captain Whidbey Inn on Whidbey Island, Washington was the venue for the wedding of Blake Scholl and Wendy Tong

They had an intimate wedding  at the amazing Inn which celebrated its 104th year this year. The romantic turn of the century Inn still has its original timbered walls and ceilings, stone fireplaces and dining room, and was constructed with native trees harvested on the property in 1907 on the shore of Whidbey Island’s Penn Cove. Friends and family came up from California for the event and the weather held for a partly sunny and partly overcast day. After all of the rain the week before, we were lucky to have the mild and bright day we got. Here are a few highlights of the day and below is a mini slideshow of about 40 wedding photos. Here is a link Captain Whidbey Inn Wedding to the photos that I previously highlighted with a slide show of many more pictures.

The voice of the singer was really magical and added a wonderful feeling to the wedding ceremony.

I love it when I see many of the guests taking pictures at a wedding. I like to take pictures of them taking pictures. Below is a view of what one of them was seeing as they were taking pictures of the bride and groom during the ceremony.

After the ceremony Blake and Wendy jumped for joy together and also again with the entire wedding party jumping with them below
